Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all the Canadians out there! I'm in Edmonton at the moment visiting my auntie, staying at this crazy hotel and doing some pre-birthday shopping at the West Edmonton Mall. It's pretty great, I'm not going to lie. I'm also loving having the chance for a break in the middle of midterms. That's one major difference between the UK and Canada - exams within the first two months of arrival! I'm struggling through (jokes, I think I'm managing fairly well at the moment...)
I'm definitely keeping super busy. I'm in a bunch of different music groups and also got into the a cappella group, which I am loving. Writing for the student newspaper is fun too - I absolutely love going to the meetings and socials with the team. In all, I am really trying my best to get involved with as much as possible this first year. It's so much easier to try a whole heap of new things then have to drop out, then never to have tried them at all! If someone could make that into an intelligent sounding quote for me, that would be great thanks...

The weather has been pretty gloomy for the most part, so I tried to dress with a pop of colour today! My shirt is one of my favourite items, and I went for a subtle red on my lips to brighten up the general mood. I also wear the shirt come summertime - you can see that post (from which my header was taken) right here.
